"Daylight encounters"

Daylight encounters
We Danes spend far more time indoors than we think.
We think that we spend 70% of the day's hours indoors, actually we spend 90%.

As a designer, I am interested in the way we experience daylight.
My objects refer to woven textiles moving into the three dimensional room of sculpture, thereby catching and emphasizing the daylight in the room.
All parts are made of oak and some areas are lightly decorated with paint and reflective foil, whose effects are changing according to the point of view of the spectator. They can be used as room dividers, mobiles or wall decoration.

As a designer, I am interested in the way we experience daylight.
I am a trained textile designer and I work across disciplines, materials and media. Sometimes my projects are site specific with a focus on solving a particular problem like acoustics, privacy or wayfinding. Sometimes my projects represent ideas and experiments of artistic character.
In my work I investigate materials, colours and surfaces, their potential and how they are perceived and can be used as communicating elements in design.
